Very disappointing behavior from staff
In general: Their laundry service is awful, and when their laundry machine destroyed some of my clothes, a staff member who went by "Claire" or "Liao Jie" chose to insult me and my roommate, saying our clothes were poor quality. (They were not, and it certainly was their machines that had caught and tore holes in them.) We had also heard her talking about us without realizing we were right beside her, when she mocked our complaint about our damaged clothes. We asked for a 15 RMB refund, worth far less than the clothes damaged, and she refused and insinuated we were lying. While the refund wasn't that important, her treatment of us was unacceptable. Days later, they hung up a sign saying "We don's responsible for your clothing [sic]." When the front desk heard about our complaints (literally minutes after the encounter, which leads me to suspect the staff gossip among each other), they stopped us at the door and said we were "young people" and not to take it so personally, lecturing us as we tried to leave for dinner. Other guests also shared their complaints about the laundry service there, since their washing machines did very little to clean clothes, and clothes frequently went missing and the staff were all very dismissive of customers' complaints. There were several episodes on the top floor where customers had disagreements with the staff. Had I known my clothes would literally be ripped apart, I would have spared my clothes and the 15 RMB. There were also mice scampering around the corners of the room, perhaps in the box that leads out to the AC drain, or under the box that holds up the mattress. The staff will not provide you with any support if and when something goes wrong. While meeting the bare minimum of being able to check you in, many of the staff will be very rude and inhospitable in many given situations.
